Being That Girl Isn't About Perfection, It's About Peace
"Soft doesn't make you weak. Elegant doesn't mean unattainable. Being 'That Girl' is about living in alignment with your peace."
I'm realistic and aware that I'm not the first person nor will I be the last to coin the term "That Girl.' Being that girl has been romanticized by many. It's the get ready with me morning routines the 5am gym goers and makeup baddies. It can start to feel like perfection is the standard.
Here's the thing: That Girl isn't perfect. She's present.
Being 'That Girl' isn't about living up to an aesthetic someone else created. I have coined that (Following the follower) That's for another time. Being 'That Girl' is about designing a life that is authentically yours.
For a long time I equated I equated success to checking all the boxes. I needed the career, motherhood, wellness, beauty and business. That was absolutely exhausting.
Perfection is subjective. There is always another goal, another to-do-list. There is always a better version of me.It took me years, yes years to realize that the peace I was chasing was already available once I gave myself permission to just be.
The moment I stopped performing for the world and started living for myself, everything shifted. My energy automatically softened. My business got clearer. My brand became more authentic. I want this for every woman reading this.
Perfection isn't real. We live in an age where 81% of women say they feel pressure to be perfect. (Dove Global Beauty & Confidence Report). Social media doesn't help, it amplifies this pressure. It creates the illusion that everyone has it figured out.
Here is the truth:
- Perfection is not sustainable.
- Perfection is not inspiring.
- Perfection is not real.
What is real is confidence. The core of the 'That Girl Brand' is not faking the soft life, but embodying it flaws, stretch marks, bad hair days and all. 'That Girl Energy' replaces perfection with presence. Choose alignment over approval. We embrace soft power over here. Soft doesn't mean passive. Being soft is strategic. It's how modern women lead without losing themselves.
